Tricky Tuesday

Tricky Tuesday at school and the kids were to dress up as thier fav story book character Sunday was a late one after I finished work at 10.30pm I sat infront of the sewing machine till 3am making Benny's cat in the hat suit and Sams Jack Sparrow wig there was black wool and fur everywhere by the time I was finished.

Dropped the kids at school this morning and what an excited bunch of kids they were all running round tryin to figure who everyone was Ben was happy as the only other cat in the hat was one of the teachers and Sam was stoked cos his mates were all "Yo Sam your a dude" "Yo Sam you look cool" and "Yo Jack Sparrow wheres ya boat" Will be a fun day at school today.

Well its May and I am now very near kickin the door of 30 YUKKKKKKKK

It has been an eventful couple of months really I bought a new car now driving around in a red mazda MX6 speedy wee thing havent got any tickets yet tho so thats good. Got a new job the same week so that has been weird getting used to a different company and new responsibilities working in the same sort of job but now more specialised and working one on one with patients who have mental health issues instead of physical disabilities but as much as it is challenging I love it and learning new things every day so loving going to work at the moment. Nana is gearing up to go in for her hip operation next week so will let ya know how she goes with that one. Sam and Ben are still their cheeky selves keepin me on my toes and throwin me the occasional curve ball just to shake things up. Simon surprised me on Saturday night with a lovely evening out with no kids (Nana Boote kept them in line for the night) he took me to a lovely restaurant for dinner then took me to the theatre to see CATS what a great night I have not been to the theatre since i was 10 and went to see Oliver Twist so i was like a silly kid with an ice cream very very excited and sat there mesmerised for the whole evening. And had lots of laughs at intermission when one of the more cheeky cats came to play in the audience especially when she came and climed on the back of my seat leant over my head and took the drink from my hand and drank some. That was nothing tho as some of the things she got up to with others were well lets say saucy and could have gotten anyone else into trouble. Anyway thats the highlights of the past couple of months will let yas know more when I can and will get some more recent photos of the kids and if ya lucky Simon and myself maybe from the dreaded 29th birthday ewww one more year and i am 30 anyway i will go and find a cure for aging so that i never have to turn 30 catch ya soon

Byrons Birthday

Frans wee man Byron turned 3 last month, when i arrived after work Fran was no where to be seen and Karle was in the kitchen prparing all the party food Simon was chillin in the lounge and both of them lookin after the tribe of kids there. Fran arrived back and all was go. A hell of alot of noise and water later the kids had managed to soak themselves and some of us adults as well and were all hungry for food. That done all the kids wanted cake Byrons eyes lit up and he was all huff and puff and very pleased with himslef at blowing his candles out.

Random photos I found lyin around thought you might like to see them Sammy and Benny on the hurricane all smiles in this shot but Sam was in tears a couple of mins later and Ben was laughing then the ride slowed down and went into reverse Sam was all smiles by then but Ben had lost it and was in tears dont think they will be toughies again and go on a ride like this without mum.
Carnival time in CHCH he won the hat on one of the side shows and do you think i could convince him it was a girls one with the green bow he loved it and wore it all day and he still has it today except the green bow has been removed
Ben wanted to ride the 4wheelers but was too young but the nice owner took him for a ride this face is a nicer pic that the one that i took 5 mins before he was sobbin his little heart out
Ben had his face painted while on holidays he wouldnt let me wash it off that night and went to bed with it the pillowcase was a mess

Benny Boo all grown up

Benny flew to Nelson on the 1st of March to attend Katrina and Rodneys wedding and I thought you would love to see wee Benny Boo all dressed up in a suit have also put a photo of Benny dressed up in his wee outfit we had him in. I am biased but I think he is just so cute

While we all dearly love Sam to bits you will see from the following SAM COMPLIMENTS as we call them now he makes it bloody hard

They started a couple of years back well the first real memorable one did anyway

While at mums house one morning we were about to go into Richmond so mum could do some banking so off she went to put on some lipstick all well and good we get into the car and Sam is sat in the back looking at nana he asks "Nana why do you put on lipstick" in which she answers to look pretty. Sam seemed to take that as a fair enough answer and said nothing more and was quiet from mums to the bank in Richmond well that was not to last. While mum was stood at the teller Sam pipes up and says with the straightest face and serious look "Mum I think you are pretty, ya know nana puts on lipstick to look pretty but it doesnt work" Well the teller tried as hard as she could not to laugh going red in the face with the effort Mum wanted the floor to open up and swallow her and all i could do was stand there with mouth open wide and say well thanks Sam.

that was the beggining and as you will see they just get better and Nana LaLa is the reciever of Sams backhanded Compliments


While at Nanas over the school holidays Sam told nana he wasnt feeleing well so she told him to have a lie down on the bed as he was looking a bit pale in the face, a while later Sam comes out and asks for some icecream and nana told him that cos he wasnt feeling the best he probably shouldnt have that so off he went to his room again. A while later out comes Sam and walks up to Nana LaLa and innocently asks "Nana does my face look like yours?" Nana a bit confused asks what do you mean? Sam replies "well does my face look like yours you know the same colour and stuff but without the wrinkles" Sam is lucky that Nana talks to him at all but alas that was not the end.


While out on the patio one sunny day a few days after the wrinkle comment mum is sunning herself while having a drink and ciggie Sam came out to join her and sat down next to her and said " Gee nana you have young legs the rest of you is old but your legs are young like a thirty year olds"

I tell you I hope he fixes his idea of a compliment before he gets a girlfriend or he will be a long time single :D

Little toads they were out there straight away no fear nothin they took a few falls after gettin a bit cocky but were pretty good I on the other hand was not I did one loop of the oval came off the ice and sat with a coffee and a book will have to go back when the kids are at school and practice its been over 10 years since i skated on ice.
