Sam turns 10

Sams birthday ended up being one of those 3 day celebrity things he had mates over on the Saturday to go karting and out for lunch he had Sunday chillin playin with his toys his mates bought him Monday morning he was up and opening more pressies he had a party at school with a cake and hot chips and crisps and fizzy smiles all around the class room then him and some mates come home after school for another bash and more presents and lots more food Uncle Karle turned up which was a great surprise for Sam so that was all good and apparently bestest of all was he got a cell phone and as some of you will know he has had alot of fun with it txt people he just loves getting messages although he is not sure about the fact that he cant get away from me now and even when I am at work I can see if he has done his homework Sams pirate ship cake

4 Boys and a Dirt Kart Track

Sam wanted to go karting for his 10th birthday so off we went Sam, Ben, Shaye and Max we were a bit worried that Ben wouldnt be tall enough but with a lot of padding he could just reach the pedal although he had moved in the seat to reach the pedal that he couldnt reach the break but he didnt care and so they suited up and got in the cars Bens smile was from ear to ear and he was so excited Sam was sitting in his car looking very serious as he does and off they go after very stern instructions from the officials. Ben took off like a pro and looked like he had been driving for years the other three were very cautious and driving very slowly. Lots of laughs and lots of noise the other three picked up the speed after a few laps but Ben never gave up he was over taking them and fishtailing out of the corners especially when they put water on the track he had a ball and in great Boote racing tradition Ben slammed into the back of Sam on the last corner I guess thats what ya get when ya cant get past and the one in front is going to slow for your pace Bens smile was priceless Sams face was priceless too but it was not a smile by any stetch of the imagination. Anyway the racing over and who gets the fastest lap yep the 6 year old he was racing two 10 year olds and one 11 year old and he beat them by over 2 seconds a very happy boy.

Benny Boo was cast in his first school play as EEyore he was so proud he came home with his lines he had to learn and even took them to Nelson on his weekend with Katrina and Rodney and kept learning them up there he knew them off by heart clever little chicken that he is I got the job of making his costume again for him and the first one well that was a bit of a stuff up much to Bens delight he went off to school and told the class for his morning news and then i got a n ote home asking to go in to see his teacher she was concerned and wanted me to not worry and let him wear the one i stuffed up but Ben wasnt having that so I sat up making sure his outfit was up to his standards and low and behold i managed to do it He was so excited on the first day of show we couldnt make it to that one due to work but we made sure we made it the next day and he was full of smiles and puffed his chest out when he seen us sitting in the front row he did so well and managed to get through all his lines with no problems. Queens birthday weekend Simon and I hopped on a plane and took off for a few days to Sydney we had a great time although i spent most of the time there sick with food poisioning from dinner the night before we flew out but we still did everythiing we had planned and i had a ball specially shopping for the kids and I did alot if firsts and seen alot of things i had never before i also met Simons mum and dad they are a hoot had lots of laughs with them and even sat with pa and had some home brew damn he is good they are both lovely people also met Simons brother and sister in law and his nephews Brendan and Rohan I had already met Brendan when he came to NZ a couple of years ago so anyway here are some photos from ausi

Tricky Tuesday

Tricky Tuesday at school and the kids were to dress up as thier fav story book character Sunday was a late one after I finished work at 10.30pm I sat infront of the sewing machine till 3am making Benny's cat in the hat suit and Sams Jack Sparrow wig there was black wool and fur everywhere by the time I was finished.

Dropped the kids at school this morning and what an excited bunch of kids they were all running round tryin to figure who everyone was Ben was happy as the only other cat in the hat was one of the teachers and Sam was stoked cos his mates were all "Yo Sam your a dude" "Yo Sam you look cool" and "Yo Jack Sparrow wheres ya boat" Will be a fun day at school today.

Well its May and I am now very near kickin the door of 30 YUKKKKKKKK

It has been an eventful couple of months really I bought a new car now driving around in a red mazda MX6 speedy wee thing havent got any tickets yet tho so thats good. Got a new job the same week so that has been weird getting used to a different company and new responsibilities working in the same sort of job but now more specialised and working one on one with patients who have mental health issues instead of physical disabilities but as much as it is challenging I love it and learning new things every day so loving going to work at the moment. Nana is gearing up to go in for her hip operation next week so will let ya know how she goes with that one. Sam and Ben are still their cheeky selves keepin me on my toes and throwin me the occasional curve ball just to shake things up. Simon surprised me on Saturday night with a lovely evening out with no kids (Nana Boote kept them in line for the night) he took me to a lovely restaurant for dinner then took me to the theatre to see CATS what a great night I have not been to the theatre since i was 10 and went to see Oliver Twist so i was like a silly kid with an ice cream very very excited and sat there mesmerised for the whole evening. And had lots of laughs at intermission when one of the more cheeky cats came to play in the audience especially when she came and climed on the back of my seat leant over my head and took the drink from my hand and drank some. That was nothing tho as some of the things she got up to with others were well lets say saucy and could have gotten anyone else into trouble. Anyway thats the highlights of the past couple of months will let yas know more when I can and will get some more recent photos of the kids and if ya lucky Simon and myself maybe from the dreaded 29th birthday ewww one more year and i am 30 anyway i will go and find a cure for aging so that i never have to turn 30 catch ya soon

Byrons Birthday

Frans wee man Byron turned 3 last month, when i arrived after work Fran was no where to be seen and Karle was in the kitchen prparing all the party food Simon was chillin in the lounge and both of them lookin after the tribe of kids there. Fran arrived back and all was go. A hell of alot of noise and water later the kids had managed to soak themselves and some of us adults as well and were all hungry for food. That done all the kids wanted cake Byrons eyes lit up and he was all huff and puff and very pleased with himslef at blowing his candles out.
